Connecticut has a general permit for the Storage and Processing of Asphalt Roofing Shingle Waste (ARSW).  There are currently two shingle recycling operators registered under the general permit to recycle asphalt shingles.  The state of Connecticut requires shingle recycling facilities to test quarterly for asbestos.  Please contact the state or recycling operators for more information.
