Colorado

Colorado does not consider asphalt shingles a recyclable material due to the feedstock far exceeding demand.

The Colorado Department of Transportation revised section 401 of their specifications and allows the use of recycled asphalt shingles (RAS) in their mixes. The RAS material must be tested for asbestos before use.
