Kansas Shingle Recycling Operators  

Kansas is currently not recycling asphalt shingles.  If shingles are going to be recycled then testing would be appropriate to ensure that there is not any asbestos in the shingle before any recycling process such as shredding.  Please contact the state to see what the regulatory interests are in a specific project.
